Fexorise Oral Suspension is a fast-acting, non-sedating antihistamine syrup that helps control itching, sneezing and other allergy symptoms in dogs and cats.
Composition: Each 5ml contains 30mg Fexofenadine Hydrochloride, a second-generation antihistamine.
Indications: Allergic conditions causing itching and skin irritation - including reactions to tick/mite infestation, feathers and dander, and food allergies; sneezing and mild nasal congestion linked to allergies.
Dosage: Approximately 2-5mg/kg body weight, once or twice daily, or as adjusted by the vet.
Directions for use: Shake well before use. Give directly by oral syringe or mix into a small amount of food.
How does the medicine work? : Fexofenadine blocks histamine (H1) receptors, preventing the swelling, redness and itching that histamine release causes during an allergic reaction, without the drowsiness seen with older antihistamines.
Possible side effects: Generally well tolerated with minimal sedation; mild drowsiness is possible in some pets. Full effect may take 1-2 days to become noticeable.
