Fiprofort Plus is a monthly spot-on treatment for medium-sized dogs (10-20kg) that kills fleas, ticks and lice while breaking the flea life-cycle to prevent reinfestation.
Composition: Fipronil 9.8% w/v (adulticide) and (S)-Methoprene 8.8% w/v (insect growth regulator), in a 1.34ml pipette.
Indications: Flea infestation (including flea allergy dermatitis); tick infestation (including brown dog tick); biting lice.
Dosage: One full 1.34ml pipette applied topically once a month, matched strictly to the 10-20kg weight band.
Directions for use: Part the fur at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible, then apply the entire pipette contents directly to the skin.
How does the medicine work? : Fipronil kills fleas, ticks and lice on contact via the nervous system; (S)-Methoprene prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into adults - together giving up to one month of protection.
Possible side effects: Mild, temporary skin irritation at the application site is possible. Do not use on kittens/puppies under 8 weeks, or use dog pipettes on cats.
