Calcimust is a calcium supplement syrup fortified with Vitamin A, D3 and B12, formulated to prevent calcium/phosphorus deficiencies such as rickets in growing pets and osteoporosis in adult/senior dogs.
Composition: Per 100ml: Vitamin A 45,000 IU, Vitamin D3 8,000 IU, Vitamin B12 100mcg, Calcium 1628mg, Phosphorus 838.5mg.
Indications: Prevention of calcium/phosphorus deficiency (rickets, osteomalacia); bone and teeth development in growing puppies/kittens; supports fetal development and prevents hypocalcaemia (eclampsia) in pregnant pets; general supportive mineral therapy
Dosage: Dogs/cats up to 10kg: 2.5ml/day. Dogs 10-20kg: 5ml/day. Dogs above 20kg: 7.5ml/day. Puppies/kittens: consult the vet for exact dosage.
Directions for use: Shake well before use. Give directly into the mouth via syringe, or mix into food.
How does the medicine work? : Supplies calcium and phosphorus in a balanced ratio along with Vitamin D3 (aids calcium absorption), Vitamin A (immunity/vision) and Vitamin B12 (metabolism/growth) to support healthy bone mineralisation.
Possible side effects: Generally well tolerated at the recommended dose; over-supplementation can cause excess calcium intake - do not combine with other calcium products without vet guidance.
