Vitabest Derm is an Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acid supplement in a proven 5:1 ratio, enriched with zinc and vitamins, formulated to maintain healthy skin and a shiny coat and to support pets experiencing dermatitis or other skin challenges.
Composition: Per ml: Vitamin A 170 IU, Vitamin E 4 IU, Zinc 0.4mg, Omega-6 fatty acids 374.6mg (Linoleic Acid 367mg, Gamma Linolenic Acid 7.6mg), Omega-3 fatty acids 74.8mg (Eicosapentaenoic Acid 44.8mg, Docosahexaenoic Acid 30mg).
Indications: Maintenance of general skin and coat health; supportive supplementation during dermatitis or other skin challenges; dull coat, dry or flaky skin.
Dosage: Maintenance: up to 10kg - 5ml every alternate day; above 10kg - 10ml every alternate day. For active derm support: up to 10kg - 5ml daily; above 10kg - 10ml daily, or as directed by the vet.
Directions for use: Shake well before use. Give directly in the pet's mouth or mix with food.
How does the medicine work? : The 5:1 Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio is formulated for high bioavailability and has been shown to help reduce inflammation during dermatitis, while zinc supports new cell formation and acts as an antioxidant, and Vitamins A and E provide additional antioxidant protection for the skin.
Possible side effects: Generally well tolerated; monitor for mild GI upset when first introducing any fatty-acid supplement.
