Entero-Chronic is a specialised gut-repair sachet that helps manage chronic or recurrent diarrhoea in dogs and cats by repairing the intestinal lining and restoring a healthy gut microbiome, alongside vet-directed treatment of the underlying cause.
Composition: Each 4g sachet contains Butyrogenic Alpha-Glucan 2500mg, Beta-Glucans and Mannan Oligosaccharides (MOS) 300mg, Chondroitin Sulfate (MPS Protect) 120mg, and Bentonite 660mg, in a palatable flavoured base.
Indications: Chronic or recurrent diarrhoea and intestinal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, and protein-losing enteropathy; supportive care during recovery from food allergies/intolerances, drug-induced GI upset (antibiotics, NSAIDs, chemotherapy), or infections (parasitic, viral, bacterial).
Dosage: Small dogs & cats: 1/2 sachet daily. Medium dogs: 1-2 sachets daily. Large dogs: 2-3 sachets daily. Minimum recommended course is around 15-30 days, or as directed by the vet.
Directions for use: Sprinkle the full sachet (or measured portion) onto the pet's food once daily.
How does the medicine work? : The alpha-glucan and bentonite help bind toxins and soothe the gut lining, while beta-glucans and MOS support a healthy balance of gut bacteria, and chondroitin sulfate (MPS Protect) helps repair the intestinal mucosal barrier - together addressing all three damaged layers of the gut (microflora, mucus layer, and epithelial cells) seen in chronic diarrhoea.
Possible side effects: Generally well tolerated as a nutritional supplement. This is supportive care for chronic GI conditions - continue any vet-directed treatment for the underlying cause (e.g., IBD, infection, drug-induced enteropathy) alongside it.
