Viv Keto Spray combines an antifungal and a broad-spectrum antiseptic to treat ringworm, yeast infections, seborrhoeic dermatitis, hotspots, and other fungal/bacterial skin conditions in dogs and cats and is enriched with vitamin E for skin nourishment.
Composition: Ketoconazole 1% (antifungal) and Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2% w/v (broad-spectrum antiseptic), enhanced with Vitamin E.
Indications: Ringworm (dermatophytosis); yeast infections (including Malassezia); seborrhoeic dermatitis; bacterial dermatitis and pyoderma; hotspots and other fungal/bacterial skin infections.
Dosage: Spray directly onto the affected area 2-3 times daily, or as directed by the vet, continuing until the infection is fully resolved.
Directions for use: Clean and dry the affected area, trim fur around the lesion if needed, then spray from about 10-15cm away, avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Allow the area to air-dry before letting the pet lick it.
How does the medicine work? : Ketoconazole interferes with fungal cell-membrane formation (ergosterol synthesis), stopping fungal growth and survival, while chlorhexidine gluconate damages bacterial cell walls and disrupts their cellular contents - together reducing microbial load and supporting healing.
Possible side effects: For external use only; avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Prevent licking until the area has fully air-dried.
