CK Reno is a nutraceutical supplement designed to support kidney function in dogs, used alongside veterinary treatment for chronic kidney disease (CKD) and other renal conditions to help manage elevated renal parameters.
Composition: Astragalus root extract, N-acetylcysteine, Rehmannia glutinosa extract, Rhubarb extract, Milk Thistle (80% silymarin), L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, Asparagus root extract, Dong Quai extract, Ginkgo biloba extract, Green tea extract (55% EGCG), Hawthorn extract, and other supportive nutraceuticals.
Indications: Chronic kidney disease (CKD); elevated creatinine/BUN or proteinuria; glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome and other renal disorders, as an adjunct to vet-directed treatment.
Dosage: Approximately 1 tablet per 11kg body weight, or as directed by the vet based on the dog's renal function status.
Directions for use: Give with food to improve absorption, once or twice daily as prescribed. Ensure the dog has continuous access to fresh water while on this supplement.
How does the medicine work? : The blend combines antioxidants (milk thistle, green tea extract) that reduce oxidative stress on kidney cells, L-Arginine to support renal blood flow, and traditional herbal extracts used to support normal kidney filtration function.
Possible side effects: Generally well tolerated. This is a supportive supplement, not a replacement for vet-directed treatment of the underlying kidney disease - continue prescribed renal diets/medication alongside it.
