Himax is a broad-spectrum Ayurvedic ointment used to treat a wide range of skin conditions and wounds in animals, including mange, ringworm, eczema, and various wound types, with antiseptic, antifungal and fly-repellent properties.
Composition: Per 10g: Haridra (Curcuma longa) extract 0.40g (anti-inflammatory), Karanja (Pongamia pinnata) seed oil 4.55g (antiseptic/healing), Neem (Azadirachta indica) wood oil 0.50g (antimicrobial), Gandhaka Powder (purified Sulphur) 0.50g (antifungal/antibacterial).
Indications: Mange and mite infestations; ringworm and other fungal skin infections; eczema; maggoted and other types of wounds; surgical wounds and burns.
Dosage: Apply a sufficient quantity once or twice daily, or as advised by the vet.
Directions for use: Clean the affected area with mild soap and water and pat dry, then apply a thin layer of ointment directly to the skin.
How does the medicine work? : Turmeric provides anti-inflammatory action, Karanja and Neem oils provide antiseptic and wound-healing support, and sulphur powder provides antifungal/antibacterial action - together supporting healing while repelling flies and mites from the wound site.
Possible side effects: For external use only; avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
