Sure-Clot is a fast-acting styptic powder that stops bleeding from nail clips, nail breaks, and minor cuts during grooming, by contracting blood vessels at the site of application.

Composition: Ferric Subsulfate, Bentonite, Diatomite, Aluminum Chloride, Ammonium Chloride, Copper Sulfate, and an Iodine Complex.

Indications: Bleeding from nail clipping (quicking); nail breaks; minor cuts and grooming nicks.

Dosage: Not applicable (topical application) - apply directly to the bleeding site as needed.

Directions for use: Dip the nail into the powder, or apply to the cut area with a moistened cotton-tip applicator. Use moderate, constant pressure until bleeding stops. For external use only.

How does the medicine work? : The astringent clotting agents (ferric subsulfate and aluminum/ammonium chloride) contract the blood vessels at the application site, rapidly slowing and stopping bleeding.

Possible side effects: For external use only; avoid contact with eyes. May cause mild stinging on application, which is normal and brief.
