Asbrip is a herbal cough syrup that soothes respiratory tract irritation, helping manage coughing, sneezing, fever and kennel cough in dogs and cats through antispasmodic, antibacterial and antioxidant action.
Composition: Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Fumaric Acid, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Malic Acid, Liver Flavour, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, in a water base.
Indications: Respiratory tract infections; cough; sneezing; fever; kennel cough; laryngitis.
Dosage: 1ml per 5kg body weight in dogs and cats, or as directed by the vet. 1ml twice daily for birds and other small animals.
Directions for use: Give directly or mixed into food.
How does the medicine work? : Eucalyptus helps clear and clean the airways; malic acid provides antiviral support; peppermint (mint) soothes the respiratory tract and lessens coughing; ascorbic and malic acids provide antioxidant support - together the blend has antispasmodic, antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant effects on the respiratory tract.
Possible side effects: ย Generally well tolerated as a herbal formulation; this is supportive care and should be used alongside, not instead of, vet-directed treatment for serious respiratory infections.
