Fiprofort Plus is a monthly spot-on treatment for cats and kittens that kills fleas, ticks and lice while breaking the flea life-cycle to prevent reinfestation.
Composition: Fipronil 9.8% w/v (adulticide) and (S)-Methoprene 11.8% w/v (insect growth regulator), in a single-use 0.5ml pipette.
Indications: Flea infestation (including flea allergy dermatitis); tick infestation; biting lice.
Dosage: One full 0.5ml pipette applied topically once a month, for cats and kittens 8 weeks of age or older.
Directions for use: Part the fur at the base of the skull until the skin is visible, then apply the entire pipette contents directly to the skin. Avoid bathing for 48 hours before/after application where possible.
How does the medicine work? : Fipronil accumulates in the skin's oil glands and kills fleas, ticks and lice on contact; (S)-Methoprene mimics flea juvenile hormone, preventing flea eggs and larvae from maturing - together breaking the full flea life-cycle.
Possible side effects: Mild, temporary skin irritation or fur clumping at the application site is possible. Never use a dog-formulated pipette on a cat.
