Epi-Soothe is a soap-free oatmeal shampoo that soothes, cleanses and controls mild itch in dogs and cats with dry, sensitive skin, using an exclusive Spherulites microencapsulation system for sustained colloidal-oatmeal release.
Composition: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Spherulites Microcapsules, Glycerin, Colloidal Oatmeal, Lauryl Glucoside, Chitosan Succinamide, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, D-Galactose, D-Mannose, L-Rhamnose (glycotechnology complex), Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose.
Indications: Dry, sensitive skin with mild itching; general antipruritic and moisturising skin support for dogs, cats and horses of any age.
Dosage: Can be used as often as daily, or as directed by the vet.
Directions for use: Wet the coat thoroughly with warm water, apply enough shampoo to create a rich lather, massage in well, then rinse. Repeat, leaving the lather on the hair and skin for 5-10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Allow to air dry rather than towel-drying, to preserve the residual oatmeal effect.
How does the medicine work? : Colloidal oatmeal soothes irritated skin, with Spherulites microcapsules allowing sustained release for longer-lasting relief; Chitosanide forms a protective barrier on the coat and skin, while the glycotechnology complex has anti-adhesive properties against common skin bacteria and yeast (Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Malassezia).
Possible side effects: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Safety has not been evaluated in pregnant or lactating dogs.
