Zoetis Simparica 40mg (Sarolaner) Chewable Tablet For Dogs - 10-20kg - 6 Tablets

Simparica is a monthly chewable flea and tick treatment for medium dogs (10-20kg), delivering fast-acting protection without the additional heartworm/dewormer coverage found in Simparica TRIO - suited to dogs whose heartworm prevention is managed separately.

Composition: Each tablet contains 40mg Sarolaner, an isoxazoline-class parasiticide.

Indications: Flea infestations; tick infestations (multiple species depending on region), for one month per dose.

Dosage: One 40mg tablet once a month, matched to the dog's 10-20kg weight band.

Directions for Use: Can be given with or without food.

How does the medicine work?: Sarolaner overstimulates the nervous system of fleas and ticks via GABA- and glutamate-gated chloride channels, causing rapid paralysis and death, while having much lower affinity for the corresponding mammalian receptors.

Possible side effects: Isoxazoline-class drugs have been associated with neurologic adverse reactions such as tremors, ataxia and seizures - use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures.
